On September 16, work begins on a project to enhance public safety by maintaining already existing fuel breaks and shaded fuel breaks along a 4.3-mile network of fire roads in Sam McDonald Park. Trails will be closed in two areas of the park on weekdays.

Redwood City – San Mateo County supervisors today allocated more than $40 million to spur the development of new affordable housing. More than $21 million in funding is from the voter-approved Measure K half-cent sales tax, which provides local funds for local needs.
