Sunset Tide Pooling
Enjoy exploring the rich tide pools at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve during this wonderful time of day! Bundle up in warm clothes (including hats and gloves!) and wear sturdy shoes.
The event is open to all ages, but walking on the reef can be precarious. Please look at the reserve’s video prior to attending the event to learn about the rules and creatures you may see:
For more information about the reserve, go to: https://parks.smcgov.org/fitzgerald-marine-reserve
*This is a self-guided event. Rangers will be on site to answer questions and point out tide pool creatures, but there is no official tour. We’ll have free hot drinks and snacks available at the Visitor's Center, where the tide pool exploration begins.
A $5 donation per person is suggested. There will be a donation box at the visitor center, where the Sunset Tide Pooling will start.
**Note: Heavy rain cancels this event.
