OYE 2015 was an amazing conference with over 200 youth from around Redwood City and North Fair Oaks participating in the May 16th event. Keynote speakers included: Jeanette Acosta, UC Hastings student, andRafael Avendano from the Siena Youth Center of The St. Francis Center. Both of the keynote speakers inspired the students to dream the impossible dream, and then make it come true. The students were also treated to an amazing dance performance by the Academy of Villains. Students were allowed to select workshops to participate in - workshops that fit their needs and interests. Parents also participated in this day. I was particularly pleased to see the college scholarship workshops and workshops on preparing for college.
