Nominations Now Being Accepted for Hammerman Award

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2024 Barbara Hammerman Award, an annual recognition sponsored by the San Mateo County Domestic Violence Council. In 2005, the Domestic Violence Council established the Hammerman Award, ratified by the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County, for the purpose of recognizing outstanding law enforcement officers for their contribution and service to survivors of domestic violence and their children. In 2009 the award was expanded to include professionals who provide services to victims of domestic violence.

Permit Exemption for Hazardous Trees – Extended to July 1, 2025

The County of San Mateo Planning and Building Department's Request for Proposals (RFP) No. PLN24-0109 seeks an experienced provider who is adept at designing and delivering online Accela permitting systems; supporting staff in their use of these and other integrated systems; and implementing upgrades to these systems that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of electronic permitting procedures.

Geri Archibald is Recognized as 2023 Barbara Hammerman Awardee

The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors at its meeting today honored Geri Archibald as its 2023 winner of the annual Barbara Hammerman Award, recognizing her outstanding and consistent service and passion with the prevention of intimate partner abuse.

Request for Proposals (RFP) for Automated Plan Review Services

The County of San Mateo (County) is seeking proposals to develop an automated solution that can interpret building and site plans, check the plans for Zoning Regulation and Building Code compliance, and provide a recommendation for approval or denial of the submitted plans. New Stormwater Treatment Requirements Take Effect on July 1, 2023

Beginning July 1, 2023, Stormwater treatment requirements will apply to most projects that create and/or replace 5,000 square feet or more of impervious surface.
