$3 Million in Coastal Conservancy Grant Funds for Tunitas Planning & Design

The Board of Supervisors has accepted $3 million in grant funding from the California State Coastal Conservancy which will be used to facilitate the planning, permitting and design of visitor amenities at Tunitas Creek Beach.

County’s Historic Lathrop House Makes Big Move

Beginning May 8, 2019, crews will start inching the 1860s-era Lathrop House in the center of Redwood City’s downtown area toward its new home just across the street outside the historic courthouse currently housing the San Mateo County History Museum. The two-story, 10-room house, which is being moved to make room for the construction of a new County office building, has been relocated twice before in its history.

County of San Mateo, Cities Urge Santa Clara County to Help Hold Stanford Accountable for Impacts of Campus Expansion

The County of San Mateo and seven cities have sent a letter to the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors urging them to help hold Stanford University accountable for the anticipated impacts to housing, traffic, the environment and residents if it is allowed to expand its campus by more than 20 percent.

Board Approves Three-Year Contract with Final AFSCME Unit
