A member of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, a successful community fundraiser and leader, a life-long public servant, and a teen advocate/poet will be inducted into the 2022 San Mateo County Women's Hall of Fame, the county's premier showcase for women who make a difference every day in our community.
The California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls is honored to announce that the state budget includes additional one-time funding of 7.9 million dollars, 5 million of which will be utilized to facilitate a statewide Women’s Recovery Response in the wake of COVID-19. The County of San Mateo (County) is seeking proposals from Aeronautical service providers for office space at the San Carlos Airport. Aeronautical service providers must operate in accordance with the County Airports Minimum Standards.
The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors is seeking applicants interested in serving on the 2021 Supervisorial District Lines Advisory Commission. Once formed, the 11-member Commission will hold a series of public meetings to study the boundaries of the County’s five supervisorial districts. The Commission’s work will be supported by a professional demographer and County staff.
The Commission on the Status of Women of San Mateo County received tremendous response for its vacancy recruitment. Over 24 applications were received from throughout San Mateo County and after a thorough review by a panel comprised of two County supervisors and representatives from the Commission and staff, seven applicants were offered appointments to the Commission.
Beginning July 27, a pedestrian bridge at Half Moon Bay State Beach along the Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail will be closed for at least a year as it is replaced with a new bridge.
