The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors is seeking applicants interested in serving on the 2021 Supervisorial District Lines Advisory Commission. Once formed, the 11-member Commission will hold a series of public meetings to study the boundaries of the County’s five supervisorial districts. The Commission’s work will be supported by a professional demographer and County staff.

The Commission on the Status of Women of San Mateo County received tremendous response for its vacancy recruitment. Over 24 applications were received from throughout San Mateo County and after a thorough review by a panel comprised of two County supervisors and representatives from the Commission and staff, seven applicants were offered appointments to the Commission.

San Mateo County Supervisor Warren Slocum has been appointed to the Association of Bay Area Government’s (ABAG) new Strategy Committee. The work of this Committee will guide the development of a regional Economic Development District (EDD) for the nine-county Bay Area and support regional economic prosperity.

Dad and Me @ the Park

On June 18th the Probation Department participated in the 14th Annual Dad and Me @ the Park Festival. This event, sponsored by the County’s Fatherhood Collaborative, was a fun, free, outdoor educational and resource fair that hoped to engage hundreds of children, fathers and families from all throughout San Mateo County.
