An Update on Renovations to the Fair Oaks Library, a Community Gathering Space

  Libraries are no longer only about books – they are spaces where communities gather. This is particularly true with the Fair Oaks Library. On any given afternoon, the library is packed with people reading, doing homework, using computers, or catching up with neighbors. I am very excited that work is finally set to begin in February on renovations to the Fair Oaks Library, including a 600-square foot expansion. It’s a very exciting project that I know will greatly benefit our North Fair Oaks community!

2017 Property Tax Highlights Publication Press Release

For Immediate Release Redwood City — The Property Tax Highlights publication for fiscal year 2016-17 released today shows that the total annual countywide tax levy was $2.4 billion — $163.2 million more than the prior year. Although the increase in revenues is part of a multi-year positive trend, County Controller Juan Raigoza explained that local government agencies’ operating costs, which are largely impacted by the cost of doing business in the San Francisco Bay Area, have also increased in recent years.
