No appointments needed for Pfizer doses at San Mateo Event Center site
Sixteen and 17-year-old San Mateo County residents are eligible to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine tomorrow, May 4, 2021, at the San Mateo Event Center site with parental or guardian consent.

Redwood City —With the federal supply of COVID-19 vaccine increasing, the County of San Mateo is launching weekly mass-vaccination clinics for anyone who lives or works in the county beginning this Thursday, April 29, at the San Mateo County Event Center. Coupled with ongoing smaller-scale and community-focused vaccination clinics in specific neighborhoods, the return of drive-through mass vaccination efforts will help boost the county’s vaccination rates.
On Friday, April 23, 2021, the CDC and FDA announced they would accept the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ (ACIP) recommendations to lift pausing on the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine for all adults.
