South San Francisco – Visitors to the North County Wellness Center will be greeted in a bright, daylit reception area with natural timber walls and windows that look out to a garden. They will be directed down wide hallways to a health clinic, a dental suite and private areas where they can learn about and apply for health insurance, nutrition assistance and additional social services.
Redwood City – San Mateo County supervisors today approved a $4.2 billion budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year with priorities focusing on services for children, families and seniors, housing and homelessness and emergency preparedness.
During the month of June, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and partners will be hosting a series of anonymous fireworks buyback events across San Mateo County. The program aims to enhance community safety by encouraging residents to turn in fireworks, which are illegal in all of San Mateo County, with the exception of the cities of Pacifica and San Bruno.
Redwood City — With measles on the rise nationally, and recent cases locally, San Mateo County Health joins Bay Area health officials in urging everyone to be up to date on measles vaccinations and to watch for symptoms after travel or exposure. The best protection against measles is two doses of the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, which protects you for life.
