The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors at its meeting today honored Geri Archibald as its 2023 winner of the annual Barbara Hammerman Award, recognizing her outstanding and consistent service and passion with the prevention of intimate partner abuse. 

Redwood City – Seven local high school students will serve as San Mateo County’s first Youth Cultural Ambassadors. The inaugural seven will seek to “build community through arts and culture with the goal of greater youth involvement in the community.”

CAL FIRE CZU Unit Forester Rich Sampson hosted three truck trail tours this month. Nearly every year, Forester Sampson takes mostly newer Chief Officers in the unit on this comprehensive and outstanding tour across the truck trails of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
