County of San Mateo Readies for PG&E Power Shut Off Due to Extreme Weather, Fire Danger

Redwood City – The County of San Mateo is encouraging residents to prepare for the season’s first PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) starting tonight by signing up to receive emergency alerts and follow the County on social media. PG&E has informed the County that nearly 1,700 customers will lose power beginning tonight between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. due to hot and dry weather that will increase fire danger.
