- Employers should:
- Pay employees equally for substantially similar work, regardless of sex, race, or ethnicity.
- Include required pay ranges in job postings and provide pay-scale information to applicants and employees when required.
- Avoid asking applicants about their salary history or relying on prior salary when determining compensation.
- Allow employees to discuss or inquire about wages without fear of retaliation.
- Keep required records of wages, wage rates, job classifications, and other employment information.
- Regularly review compensation to identify and address potential pay disparities.
