The San Mateo County Fire Marshal's Office offers multiple types of inspections within the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI). Please contact us at SMCFDFireMarshal@fire.ca.gov or (650)-573-3846 to report a fire hazard or schedule any of the following:

  • Defensible Space Inspections (For sale of real estate inspections, see AB-38 link below)
  • Firewise Community Assessments
  • Chipper Program Locations (In conjunction with Resource Conservation District/Fire Safe Council)
