About the Project
The City of Redwood City and the County of San Mateo identified Bay Road from 5th Avenue to 15th Avenue as a priority corridor for traffic safety improvements based on community feedback, traffic volumes, speed, collision data, and presence of major pedestrian generators such as schools. The Bay Road Complete Streets Project aims to improve access to bus stops and pedestrian crossings along the corridor and to add bicycle facilities to support walking and biking to and from destinations in the area.
