Lelan Anders (they/them/theirs) has been a San Mateo County resident for 20+ years, identifies as queer and non-binary, and is an advocate for LGBTQ+ education, wellness, and visibility.
They hold a BA from John F. Kennedy University and an MA in Psychology from Humboldt State University. Lelan is a Program Manager at NOVAworks, a federally funded agency providing job search and training services to the public in San Mateo County and Northern Santa Clara County. They are a founding member of San Mateo Stonewall Democrats, a local LGBTQ political club committed to growing the number of LGBTQ and allied elected officials in San Mateo County.
In 2020, Lelan became a certified RISE (Recognize, Intervene, Support and Empower) trainer through the LA LGBTQ Center, to help promote visibility and inclusive practices to support LGBTQ+ Youth and Adults across multiple systems of care.
Lelan is grateful for all those who paved the way before them, and for the opportunity to serve our community in San Mateo County.
