Purpose of the CBO Capabilities Map
The Community-Based Organization (CBO) Capability Map is a joint initiative by Thrive Alliance and San Mateo County Emergency Management (SMC EM) to strengthen coordination and emergency preparedness in San Mateo County by improving visibility into nonprofit capabilities and resources.
This map is not a comprehensive list of all San Mateo County's Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and it displays only organizations that provided certain information to SMC EM. This is a new emergency readiness coordination tool, not a public services directory. If you are a member of the public seeking referral to services, please visit 211 Bay Area Information & Referral Services.
Strengthening the Community-Based Organization Network
The CBO Capabilities Map helps nonprofits better understand one another’s roles and connect with peer organizations before emergencies occur. It also improves the County's disaster readiness and response capabilities.
How do I get my organization represented on the map?
SMC EM plans to update the CBO Capabilities Map annually. Please reach out to DEM_info@smcgov.org for more information.
