Michelle Stewart is a San Mateo County resident with her husband and three young daughters.  She is on staff at VIVE Church as a pastor and is the Executive Director for The Hope Hangar and New Creation Home Ministries.  She also sits on the board and executive team of the Ravenswood Education Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to ensuring high-quality educational opportunities for students in East Palo Alto and Menlo Park.

As the Executive Director of The Hope Hangar, Michelle Stewart leads an organization dedicated to meeting basic needs, such as food, clothing and baby items, for low-income families.   As the Executive Director of New Creation Home Ministries, Michelle Stewart leads an incredible team of people who support at-risk homeless mothers and their children by providing residential home programs.  These homes provide refuge to hurting mothers, restore their hope, and release their purpose.

Michelle embarked on her academic journey at Duke University, where she completed her undergraduate degree in psychology, economics, and Chinese. Following this, she studied law at the University of Chicago, graduating in the top 25% of the class.

Upon graduation, Michelle launched her legal career in the corporate sector. For nearly a decade, she honed her skills and deepened her understanding of the corporate world. During this period, she sharpened her meticulous attention to detail and ability to navigate complex legal scenarios. Before she was 30, the Silicon Valley Business Journal named her on the Silicon Valley 40 Under 40 list.

After a successful tenure in corporate law for nearly 10 years, Michelle transitioned to the nonprofit sector, an area she has been passionately serving. Her prior legal experience has proven invaluable, allowing her to navigate the regulatory and compliance aspects of running a nonprofit.
