Paul Hundal is a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University. He began his career with San Mateo County in 2013 as an intern, eventually advancing through the roles of Construction Manager, Project Manager, Senior Capital Project Manager, and Interim Assistant Director of the Project Development Unit. 

Most recently, Paul served as the Division Manager for Capital Projects Management at Contra Costa County before returning to San Mateo County in his current leadership role. Paul Hundal joined the Department of Public Works in 2026 as the Deputy Director of Facilities, overseeing the maintenance, operation, and improvement of County owned facilities.
