The soil nail pinned mesh system and the shotcrete wall have been completed. The contractor is currently working to install cable rail fencing adjacent to the shotcrete wall, regrade and resurface the top of the slope failure areas with gravel, and repave the access road leading from the parking lot to the slope failure areas.

Construction efforts have commenced for this Project. The contractor is currently regrading the slope failure areas in preparation for the installation of a soil nail pinned mesh system and a shotcrete retaining wall.

About the Project
The Tunitas Creek Beach Slide Repair Project includes slope failure stabilization efforts to address two slope failures that occured along the edge of the access road at Tunitas Creek Beach, which leads down to the beach. Stabilization efforts include the installation of a soil nail pinned mesh system and a shotcrete retaining wall with a cable rail fencing. The project also includes the regrading of the access road to improve drainage, as well as the paving of the access road leading up to the parking lot area.
