The Department of Public Works contracts with qualified firms and individuals to perform biological surveys, revegetation planning and implementation, project monitoring, technical training and other services requiring highly specialized skills.
Consultants are selected through a competitive process which involves a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and/or Request for Proposals (RFP). The process involves advertising and direct mailing RFQ/RFP to firms and individuals, screening of written Statements of Qualifications and/or Proposals, or interviews, and fee schedule negotiations.
