Anya Chernykh serves as Legislative Aide in the District Three office of San Mateo County Supervisor Ray Mueller. In this role, she advises and supports the team on a wide array of policy initiatives and community issues. In this capacity, she works alongside county departments, partner agencies, and local residents to advance district priorities.
Chernykh brings over 20 years of private-sector experience to the role, having cultivated a specialized skill set in managing complex partnerships and streamlining large-scale operations. Managing complex projects and operations is her specialty.
Driven by a focus on educational excellence and local governance, Chernykh previously served on multiple school foundation boards, spearheading fundraising efforts that support students and faculty alike. She remains a fixture in local leadership, currently serving as President of the local Chapter of National Charity League board. Her long-standing volunteerism includes a 12-year tenure as treasurer for the Las Lomitas League and a decade with the National Charity League.
With an MBA in Management and Finance and an undergraduate background in Economics and Computer Science, Chernykh applies data-driven insights to solve local challenges. As a parent, foster parent, and longtime Menlo Park resident, Chernykh is passionate about helping her neighbors. She works every day to build a more connected and supportive community for everyone
