Redwood City – The County of San Mateo continues to work to protect public health and safety in response to the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19.
The County of San Mateo’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) remains open to coordinate countywide response and communications in response to the situation. The EOC’s Joint Information Center will provide daily status reports Monday through Friday until further notice. Today’s report:
Easy Access to COVID-19 Testing at Three County Locations This Week
Testing for COVID-19 has become easier to access and to endure. Project Baseline, the state’s free testing provider in San Mateo County, now uses a self-administered swab process that is quick and simple to complete. To see how easy, watch the video https://www.smcgov.org/covid-19-testing
During the next six days, free testing will be available to anyone who wants a test from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:
- Wednesday, June 10 and Thursday, June 11 at Cunha Intermediate School, 600 Church Street, Half Moon Bay
- Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13 at Sports House Parking Lot, 3151 Edison Way, Redwood City
- Monday, June 15 at the San Mateo County Event Center, 1346 Saratoga Drive, San Mateo

San Mateo County Health has updated the number of positive cases to 2,437 as of June 8, 2020.
