Redwood City – Supervisor Jackie Speier will host her first town hall since joining the Board of Supervisors in San Bruno at the Recreation and Aquatic Center on Thursday, March 13th at 6 pm. This will be the first event in a series of visits to all communities in her district.
“I returned to the Board of Supervisors to make the lives of county residents better and to address the high cost of living here,” Speier said. “I want to hear directly from my constituents about their concerns. I have heard from people with a high level of anxiety about jobs, savings, and retirement accounts. I want my constituents to know that I am here to listen and to help.”
The event will include two presentations on fire safety and emergency preparedness and on immigration rights. Sandra Firpo from the County Department of Emergency Management will share steps residents can take to protect themselves and their homes. Megan Gosch from the County Office of Community Affairs will talk about the rights residents have to protect themselves and loved ones.
