Brian joined the County Attorney’s Office in 2013.  He was promoted to Lead Deputy in 2019, Chief Deputy in 2022, and Assistant County Attorney in 2026. He currently advises the Coroner, Elections, the Event Center, the Library JPA, OneShoreline, Parks, Real Property, and he oversees the Office’s Land Use Team, Litigation Team, and Ethics Team.  During his time with the County Attorney’s Office Brian has advised a range of County clients and has litigated a number of state and federal cases. 
 
In the community, Brian currently serves on the Belmont Planning Commission (where he has served as Chair and Vice-Chair) and served on the Belmont-Redwood Shores Little League Board (where he was both President and Vice President), and he has also served on many committees of the San Mateo County Bar Association.

Law School: University of San Diego School of Law, Cum laude (2004) 

Prior Experience

Prior to joining the County Attorney’s Office, Brian worked in private practice, where he focused on civil and fiduciary litigation.
