Brian joined the County Attorney’s Office in 2013.  He was promoted to Lead Deputy in 2019 and Chief Deputy in 2022. His management duties currently include the Coroner, Elections, the Event Center, the Library JPA, OneShoreline, Parks, Public Works, Project Development, Real Property, and he oversees the Office’s Land Use Team and Ethics Team.  During his time with the County Attorney’s Office Brian has advised a range of County clients and has litigated a number of state and federal cases. 
 
In the community, Brian currently serves on the Belmont Planning Commission (where he has served as Chair and Vice-Chair) and on the Belmont-Redwood Shores Little League Board (where he has served as President and Vice President), and has served on many committees of the San Mateo County Bar Association.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining the County Attorney’s Office, Brian worked in private practice, where he focused on civil and fiduciary litigation.
