Higgins Canyon Road Bridge at Mills Creek Embankment and Wingwall Repairs Project

The Higgins Canyon Road Bridge at Mills Creek Embankment and Wingwall Repairs Project will repair the failing embankment and exposed wingwall of the bridge. The work to be done consists, in general, of installing a wingwall underpinning system, constructing a retaining wall with ground anchors, drainage improvements, and installing a rock slope protection revetment with plantings, and erosion control/slope protection.

Road Oil Application In Conjunction with the County 2022 Chip Seal Road Maintenance Project

The work to be done consists of placing emulsion oil for the chip sealing of Tunitas Creek Road, Higgins Canyon Road, Purisima Creek Road, Verde Road, Lobitos Creek Road, Bear Gulch Road, Native Sons of Golden West Road, Stage Road, Swett Road, Star Hill Road, Old La Honda Road, Page Mill Road, Sunshine Valley Road, and Miramontes Road prior to the placement of chips by the County of San Mateo Road Division. In addition, Sunshine Valley Road will receive a full length and full width fog seal treatment after the installation of the chip-seal application.

Coyote Point Marina Maintenance Dredging and Pile Replacement Project

The work to be done consists, in general, of maintenance dredging in the Coyote Point Marina Approach Channel and Entrance Channel, optional additive work may include maintenance dredging of parts of the marina fairways and berths as well as the furnishing and installation of both a concrete navigation pile and a steel guide pile.

Lobitos Creek Slipout and Culvert Repair Project
-
The Lobitos Creek Slip-out and Culvert Repair project includes soil nail wall installation on the failed slope face. In addition to the soil nail wall installation fill material and a shotcrete wall provide needed backfill of slope face. The culvert adjacent to the failed slope will be repair and replace with a fire resistant corrugated metal pipe culvert.

Culvert Replacement Project at Bear Gulch

The project will replace a deteriorated 60-inch corrugated metal pipe with a 60-inch polyethelyne pipe by open trench. The improvements will also include the installation of a concrete head wall to support the new pipe and road shoulder.

The Sawyer Camp Trail Paving and Culvert Improvement Project aims to improve approximately 3.00 miles of pavement at Sawyer Camp Trail. This project also includes the improvement of culverts within the project limits to enhance storm drainage and flood protection in the trail.

Scour Countermeasure At Cloverdale Road Bridge

The County partnered with the Resource Conservation District (RCD) to repair the scour damage at the bridge and include habitat restoration upstream and downstream of the bridge. In general, the project improvements include removing the failed sacked concrete wall, repairing the failing bank, and installing habitat enhancement features like log structures, fish resting pools, floodplain expansion, revegetation, and a fish passable roughened channel.
