    SFPUC Technical Assessment, May 16 - July 15

    Beginning Monday, May 16, the northern portion of the Sawyer Camp segment of Crystal Springs Regional Trail will be closed on weekdays while the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) performs a geotechnical assessment of seismic stability and hydraulic performance of the dam and reservoir facilities.

    The Sawyer Camp segment will be closed from the pedestrian gate off Hillcrest Blvd to the Jepson Laurel, Monday through Friday (open Saturday & Sunday) until June 13 at which time this portion of the trail will be fully closed due to overlap with another project (see below).

    Paving & Culvert Maintenance, June 13 - September 2

    From June 13 through September 2, San Mateo County Public Works will perform paving and culvert maintenance to a portion of the Sawyer Camp segment, spanning from the Hillcrest Blvd gate to Tracy Dam (approximately a half mile south of the Jepson Laurel). This trail segment will be closed 7 days a week for the duration of the project.

    Summer Mowing, June 14 - 24

    From June 14 - 24, the San Mateo County Parks will perform annual mowing to make the trail more usable and to reduce fire risk. See the map below for closure locations and dates. 

    Please note: Trail closures go into effect the evening before, at 6:30pm.
