On September 15, Memorial Park's Huckleberry Flat, a camping area for dogs and their owners, became available for reservation. Each recently constructed campsite features 2 tables, 1 barbecue, and 1 fire pit. Seven of the family sites accommodate up to 12 people and 3 dogs; 1 site is ADA accessible. Another site can accommodate up to 30 campers and 5 dogs. Visitors are required to bring a dog when staying at these campsites.
Making a Reservation
While initially available for reservation on our online reservation system, reservations for Huckleberry Flat must now be made by calling our reservation desk at (650) 363-4021, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. We’re making this change to ensure campers are reserving a site that meets their camping needs and understand this area is only for campers accompanied by dogs.
Reservations at Memorial Park for visitors unaccompanied by dogs may be made for Sequoia Flat or Azalea Flat on our online reservation system.

In July the Board of Supervisors approved a proposal by San Mateo County Parks to add campsites allowing on-leash dogs in a designated camping area of Memorial Park beginning this September. It’s the first San Mateo County Park location to offer camping with dogs.
