November 29, 2022
  • At the November 15, 2022 Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board accepted recommendations from its ad hoc subcommittee including rate changes for the annual park pass and tent and trailer camping fees for the 2023 camping season.

Effective January 1, 2023, the annual park pass fee will increase from $60 to $72. The $12 increase will offset costs related to the new Mariposa Program, a collaboration of the Parks Department and San Mateo County Human Services Agency, to provide annual park passes at no cost to individuals/households eligible for Economic Self Sufficiency programs, such as cash programs, CalFresh, and Medi-Cal. The Program aims to make County Parks more accessible to additional County residents.

Changes to 2023 camping fees are intended to streamline the previous fee structure to now include two vehicles in the daily campsite rate for tent and trailer camping. Non-County campers will be charged an additional $5 per day.
