San Mateo County Park staff have been working throughout the recent storms to keep up with ongoing flooding, mudslides, downed trees and washed out and debris-covered roads. This page will be updated as new information about park conditions become available.

The forecast for rain has diminished, but the impact of ongoing rain has over saturated the ground in most of our parks. More trees have fallen causing additional damage to park facilities, along with more road and trail failures. These conditions can present hazards to anyone in the area.

Information on this page will be updated when park conditions change.

With a focus on public and staff safety, and based on current conditions, the following parks are closed:

    • Cowell-Purisima Trail
    • Coyote Point (closed: Beach, Upper parking, Knoll, Eucalyptus, Captains House)
    • Fitzgerald Marine Reserve
    • Memorial Park
    • Moss Beach Park
    • San Andreas Segment, CSRT (partial)
    • Sawyer Camp Segment, CSRT

    The following parks are open:

    • Coyote Point (open: Magic Mt., Promenade, Marina)
    • Devil's Slide Trail
    • Edgewood Park
    • Flood Park
    • Friendship Park
    • Huddart Park (partial)
    • Junipero Serra Park (partial)
