Redwood City – San Mateo County Supervisors voted unanimously today to allocate $110 million for the upcoming fiscal year to expand services for the most vulnerable residents, tackle the causes of homelessness, improve parks and more.
For holiday weekends in 2024, Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled to meet the increased holiday needs for staffing at other parks in the area. Bicyclists and motorists, please be mindful to share the road.
The pump track is open, but will close during rain and until the track surface thoroughly dries out.

Redwood City — The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors received staff recommendations today for a $34.5 million aid package aimed at bolstering support in three vital areas identified by the community as priorities.
San Bruno Mountain Park intermittent trail closures for invasive plant management, February 8–April 1.
March 18-29, intermittent closures to Edgewood Trail, Sylvan Trail, and Baywood Glen Trail for invasive plant management.
Mirada Surf East is currently closed while contractors remove hazardous trees in the area.
The area south and west of the park, which was burned by the CZU Lightning Complex Fire, remains closed. Other trails remain closed due to storm damage.
Alambique Trail between trail markers 17 and 21 is closed for equestrian use until further notice.
Some trails remain closed due to damage from winter storms. Toyon Campground are closed and without water. Werder Playground is closed for construction.
