Single-track trails in Sam McDonald Park and Pescadero Creek Park are currently closed to equestrians for winter. Fire roads remain open.
What better way to spend the holiday weekend than to experience the great outdoors? Instead of Black Friday, think Green Friday while hiking, cycling, picnicking, and playing in one of the 23 County Parks located throughout San Mateo County. The Board of Supervisors has voted to provide an annual County Parks pass to individuals and families with low incomes.
On Monday, November 21, the East and West Meadow area in Huddart Park, in the southeast corner of the park, will be closed for a CHP training.
On Monday, November 14, work will begin on the Quarry Park parking lot extension. Quarry Trail will be closed for several days and the parking lot will have limited parking spots available.
In November 2022, San Mateo County Parks released for review and comment a Draft Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) for the Wildfire Risk Reduction at Quarry County Park.
Shaw Flat Trail Camp in Pescadero Creek Park is closed for the winter and will re-open next summer.

For holiday weekends in 2022, Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled to meet the increased holiday needs for staffing at other parks in the area. Bicyclists and motorists, please be mindful to share the road.
Any US military veterans who provide proof of veteran status are granted free entrance to the twenty parks spread throughout San Mateo County.
