Reserve Memorial Park Sites for Camping with Dogs by Phone

Huckleberry Flat, a camping area for dogs and their owners at Memorial Park, are reserved by phone only. Visitors are required to bring a dog when staying in this area.

Bids for Flood Park Phase 1 Construction Now Closed

The bid period for Phase 1 construction of the Realize Flood Park project is now closed. Selection of contractor and construction timeline will be announced in March 2024.

Follow-up Eucayptus Removal on Northwest of San Bruno Mountain Park, Dec 4–6

From Monday through Wednesday, December 4–6, weather permitting, San Mateo Parks and contractors will work to control regrowth of invasive Eucalyptus across two acres on the northwest boundary of San Bruno Mountain Park, near properties along Florence St. and Mountain View Dr.

A New Tool to Reduce Fire Fuel in Memorial & Pescadero Creek Parks

In coordination with CAL FIRE and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, we'll use an air curtain burner to dispose of logs and other woody debris left over from past projects and storm-downed trees.

Pump Track Opens at Flood Park, Oct 21

On Saturday, October 21, the new pump track opens at Flood Park. Completion of the pump track is part of the first phase of construction for Realize Flood Park, a community-informed project focused on redesigning and revitalizing Flood Park.

Phase 1 Construction of Flood Park Landscape Plan on the Horizon

Beginning late July, park visitors will see work begin to demolish one of the old tennis courts followed by installation of the bike pump track.

Board Approves New Dog Camping in Memorial County Park Starting in September
