Among the three concepts presented, the most popular with the community was boulder canyon, which reflects a natural aesthetic and will incorporate quarried and man-made rocks of varying sizes to serve as play and relaxation areas.

Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled Oct 13 for the Columbus Day/Indigenous People's Day weekend to meet increased staffing needs at other parks in the area.
