In September and October trails in the southern area of Wunderlich Park will be closed for annual vegetation management within the utility right-of-way.

Some trails remain closed due to damage from winter storms. Toyon Campground are closed and without water. Werder Playground is closed for construction.

September 25–29, San Bruno Mountain Park will be closed to all cars while the main park gates are replaced. Visitors may still enter on foot through the Crocker Gate.

Pump track construction continues in Flood Park requiring the park to remain closed, Monday to Friday, through Wednesday, October 11 to ensure safe entrance and exit by semi-trailer trucks.

Huckleberry Flat, a camping area for dogs and their owners at Memorial Park, may now be reserved by phone. Visitors are required to bring a dog when staying in this area.

Yellowjackets or wasps are stinging insects commonly found during the warmer months of the year, especially in picnic areas and nearby.  Yellowjackets can sting repeatedly causing pain

Repairs begin soon on the 4.5-mile northern portion of the Sawyer Camp segment. Ralston Bike Trail is closed for PG&E to work on a gas transmission line until October 31

Redwood City – The County of San Mateo has formed a Domestic Violence Task Force following the homicides of five women this year at the hands of abusers, Supervisor Noelia Corzo announced today.

Redwood City – San Mateo County Health Officer Dr. Kismet Baldwin-Santana today issued a local health order requiring staff in patient care areas of health care facilities to wear face masks. Effective at 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 1, 2023, the order applies to paid and unpaid facility personnel and other professionals and does not apply to patients, visitors or individuals with medical or mental health conditions or a disability that prevents wearing a mask.

Redwood City – The County of San Mateo has selected Katharine Sullivan as the director of The Big Lift, an ambitious effort to prepare young learners for success. Sullivan comes to the County with more than 20 years of experience in improving educational opportunities and targeting resources to meet community needs. This knowledge will be key as The Big Lift aims to improve literacy with focused services.

The area south and west of the park, which was burned by the CZU Lightning Complex Fire, remains closed. Other trails remain closed due to storm damage.
