Notice of Substantial Amendment to the San Mateo County 2021 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program
On or about May 5, 2022, San Mateo County intends to submit the following substantial amendments to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for its FY2021 Annual Action Plan regarding the following projects:
Through the FY2021-22 NOFA process, Pacific Housing, Inc., in partnership with ROEM Development Corporation (“ROEM”), applied for and was awarded $350,000 in CDBG funds to assist its Belmont Family Apartments project, located in Belmont, CA. Pacific Housing, Inc. and ROEM notified the County that they were declining the CDBG award due to incompatibility of the intended use of funds with CDBG regulations.
This amendment is needed to remove the Belmont Family Apartments project from the County’s FY2021Annual Action Plan and reprogram the $350,000 of CDBG funds in the upcoming FY2022-23 Annual Action Plan.
Through the FY2021-22 NOFA process, BRIDGE Housing applied for and was awarded $500,000 in CDBG funds to assist its Carter Martin project, located in Daly City, CA. Due to the incompatibility of the intended uses of funds with CDBG regulations, the award is being rescinded from the project. This amendment is needed to remove the Carter Martin project from the County’s FY2021 Annual Action Plan and reprogram the $500,000 of CDBG funds in the upcoming FY2022-23 Annual Action Plan.
