  • Leaders from the City of East Palo Alto and the County of San Mateo along with about a 100 community leaders celebrated the Grand (re)Opening of the David E. Lewis Reentry Center.

The Center was founded on the belief that all people deserve opportunities to succeed. The late David E. Lewis, the center's namesake, then-EPA Police Chief Ron Davis and the late Assembly Member Ira Ruskin dreamt of a center that would provide counseling, job placement, and family support to help the formerly incarcerated "come home" and become contributing members of society.

Through this collaborative partnership we will provide a pathway to opportunity, a welcome home, and a supportive environment for families, friends, and neighbors.  The center is uniquely designed to help people find their way forward and fit in the community once again.
