  • On December 18, at the last regular meeting of 2014, our Board of Supervisors presented outgoing San Mateo County Controller Bob Adler, an excellent Controller, a longtime public servant in the finest sense of the word, and an all around great guy, with a resolution acknowledging his 19 years of outstanding service to the County as he will retire at the beginning of January.  We will miss him!

Senator Jerry Hill, Assemblyman Rich Gordon, former Controller Tom Huening along with county leaders, staff and friends congratulated Bob at a special retirement party in his honor. The highlight of the evening--an a cappello version of Bob singing "Wouldn't it be Loverly?" (a tune from My Fair Lady) with his own special lyrics! Vintage Bob Adler!

All the best to Bob and his wife, Jane, for much happiness, great health and fun times ahead!
