The County of San Mateo is committed to helping our community meet basic needs during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

This includes providing the necessary housing and support services to those experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness or who are unable to isolate or quarantine in their current housing situation. The County also offers assistance programs to tenants and small-residential property owners.

If someone you know is experiencing homelessness and would like help with shelter, please visit any one of our eight Core Service Agencies located throughout the county. These local nonprofit groups, in concert with the County, provide safety net services to San Mateo County residents in need of food, housing assistance, utility assistance, shelter and other basic needs.
