Monali joined the County Attorney’s Office in 2014. She is currently assigned to: the Commission on the Status of Women, the Domestic Violence Council, Environmental Health, the First Five Commission, the Department of Housing, the Housing Authority, and the Human Services Agency. She also serves on the Employment Team and the Housing Team.

Upon graduation from law school in 2005, Monali worked as a litigation associate first at Cox, Castle & Nicholson and then at Farella, Braun & Martel. At both law firms, she handled a variety of commercial litigation and arbitration matters, including contracts, environmental law, business tort, partnership disputes, intellectual property, insurance coverage, products liability, and unfair competition law. Monali then worked at Equal Rights Advocates, where she represented low-wage women workers in employment discrimination cases and spearheaded legislative advocacy at the federal, state and local level on issues impacting women in the workplace and working families.
