Kate joined the County Attorney’s Office in 2019.  She is currently assigned to the San Mateo County Medical Center, Family Health and Public Health. In the community, Kate serves on the publication committee for the California Society of Healthcare Attorneys.

Prior Experience

Upon graduation from law school in 2014, Kate worked as a litigation associate at Stephenson Acquisto & Colman, where she focused on complex litigation specializing in healthcare reimbursement.  In 2016 she transitioned to the public sector, she worked as in-house counsel for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), providing litigation support and legal advice to HHS sub-agencies, predominately the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Indian Health Service (IHS).
