On May 3rd, 2004, this office was notified of a suitcase containing a human skeleton that was discovered while clearing out the residence of Douglas Fitzgerald in Burlingame, California. The skeleton was found in a light blue Samsonite hard-shell suitcase. It is believed the skeletal remains are those of Douglas Fitzgerald's wife, Anne Rangley Fitzgerald (maiden name: Zavitz) born 7/15/1913. The Coroner's Office has been unable to locate a death record for Zavitz-Fitzgerald, any dental records or other means for positive identification.

Sex: Female

Ancestry: European descent

Age: Approximately 70-75 years old at the time of death

Eyes: Unknown

Hair: Unknown

Height: 5' 3" to 5'4"

Weight: Unknown

Clothing: None

Distinguishing marks or tattoos: Trauma to left ribs showing signs of healing.
