I am a proud daughter of Mexican immigrants who immigrated to North Fair Oaks in the 1980s. I lived through some of the challenges immigrants face and it has shaped me into the women I am today. Working for Supervisor Warren Slocum in the area where I grew up, helping our immigrant population is so meaningful. And it’s why it is important for me to participate in the Immigrant Integration Steering Committee where we work to better serve San Mateo County’s immigrant community.
