In May 2011, the property was converted to Section 8 Project-Based assistance, owned and operated by the Housing Authority. Half Moon Bay Village in Half Moon Bay, owned and operated by the Housing Authority, provides Section 8 Project-Based assistance to low-income seniors. HACSM was the first in the western states to develop a project-based program for its own locally own units. It has proven to be financially advantageous since the development is now financially independent which was not before. |
