FY2012-13 Notice of Funding Cycle
The County receives annual HUD entitlements under the following programs: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and the new Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), the latter which replaced Emergency Shelter Grant. For FY 2012-13, the County will receive $3,645,601 in CDBG, HOME, and ESG funds. The total budget for HUD entitlement-funded activities, including program income and other reprogrammable funds, will be approximately $10.4 million.
The ESG Program now has additional priorities of assisting homeless people to quickly regain stabilized housing after experiencing a crisis, and because this was not captured in last year's Action Plan due to HUD timing issues, the County will amend its FY 2011-12 Action Plan to reflect this priority.
On May 8, 2012 at 9am, the County Board of Supervisors will meet to consider the following two items:
The times for the two public hearings will be announced on or about April 23. Both the Substantial Amendment and new Action Plan and will be submitted to HUD May 15, 2012.
